Raul K. Martynek

Raul Martynek is a veteran telecom and digital infrastructure executive who founded MAAS Telecom in 2008.  MAAS represents Raul’s commitment to harnessing his wide-ranging experience and network for the development and evolution of all facets of digital infrastructure in emerging markets world-wide.

Across more than two decades in the sector, Raul is recognized for his expertise in scaling all aspects of digital and communications infrastructure – notably in the data center sector – and for his influence on the evolution of colocation, cloud and edge computing.  His thought leadership extends to his passion for organizational culture and talent development.  Most recently, he was in the top quarter of DataCentre Magazine’s “Top 100 Data Centre Leaders 2026”, one of DataCloud Magazine’s “USA Power 50 2025”, and one of Capacity Magazine’s “2025 Most Influential People” in the industry.

Raul is currently Chief Executive Officer of DataBank, a leading U.S. data center and IT infrastructure platform, and serves as a senior advisor to DigitalBridge, a global digital infrastructure investment firm.

Prior to joining DataBank, Raul served as an Operating Partner for Digital Bridge, assisting the firm in evaluating digital infrastructure investments, including the acquisition of DataBank and Vantage.

Before DataBank, Raul served as CEO of Net Access, a New Jersey‑based data center and managed services operator that was acquired by Cologix in 2015, and previously as CEO of Voxel dot Net, a global managed hosting and cloud company acquired by Internap in 2012. Earlier in his career, he was President and CEO of InfoHighway Communications Corp., a telecom and internet provider acquired by Broadview Networks in 2007, and he also held restructuring and advisory roles at Smart Telecom and Plainfield Asset Management, all experiences that further solidified his standing among infrastructure investors and operators.

Raul earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Binghamton University in 1988 and received a Masters’ degree in International Affairs from Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs in 1992.
